This may have already been corrected. Chavdar to check. 11-Sep-2024 TF13 weekly call: I have attached a GroundDisconnector examples document produced jointly by Richard and Svein. This to be discussed during next week's Fall Joint TF Hybrid meetings in Minneapolis. 17-Sep-2024: TF13 Minneapolis meeting Agreement: - Deprecate GroundDisconnector - Change 301 to refer to Disconnector between Phase N - Add EarthingSwitch as subclass of Switch. Description “a mechanical switching device for earthing parts of a circuit, capable of withstanding for a specified time currents under abnormal conditions such as those of short circuit, but not required to carry current under normal conditions of the circuit Note 1 to entry: An earthing switch may have a short-circuit making capacity. ” - Change the description of Disconnector from “A manually operated or motor operated mechanical switching device used for changing the connections in a circuit, or for isolating a circuit or equipment from a source of power. It is required to open or close circuits when negligible current is broken or made.” To “ mechanical switching device which provides, in the open position, an isolating distance in accordance with specified requirements Note 1 to entry: A disconnector is capable of opening and closing a circuit when either negligible current is broken or made, or when no significant change in the voltage across the terminals of each of the poles of the disconnector occurs. It is also capable of carrying currents under normal circuit conditions and carrying for a specified time currents under abnormal conditions such as those of short circuit.” - EarthingSwitch is single terminal device which implicitly connects to the earth - Revise 301 to explain how Ground is used. The EarthingSwitch and Ground are not related. They serve different purpose Profile Decisions (452/456): Decision was to deprecate GroundDisconnector
