Description

61970-457 include SimulationSettingProfile that make it possible to exchange PowerFlowSetting. It should be possible to have these setting as input and output to -456. Most likely this is best done by adding this to -450.

  • There might be requirements to have simulation settings that are applicable to only part of the model
  • There’s an opportunity to harmonize with Frame for representing settings that are applicable to simulating only part of the model. There’s also some crossover with ControlArea
  • We need to add a couple more enumerations literals (in existing Enumerations in the 457) for distribution modeling (e.g. ‘fixedPoint’, etc. There should be a separate issue with this list.

Note: Alex Anderson & Celso are tasked to provide relevant simulations settings for:

  • time series PF
  • SC simulation settings
  • unbalanced simulation settings
  • transient stability simulation settings (should be already covered unless there are gaps)

...with descriptions and will provide updates to the PowerFlowAlgorithmKind and other relevant enums related to power flow settings. However, these will be tracked via a separate Remine issue and associated to this one once created.

Decision

19-Sep-2024 Joint TF Hybrid Meetings - Minneapolis:
Reviewed.

- 301 will include all of the information model that is relevant for the 456 (PF, SSH, SC)
- 302 will include simulation settings related to DY.
- 457 include profile simulation settings related to DY extensions
- Input will be needed from Alex Anderson on the missing settings (see above in description)
