Description

In Part 6, the LNode which refers to an implemented LN in a device have to define the iedName and the ldInst where the LN reside. But there is no rule regarding pure client LN which are not associated to a server, and so without LDevice.

This issue may have already been identified during virtual IOP in 2023 and this has to be check. The proposal was to have LD0 used as it is already done in ClientLN.

But this may be better to not express ldInst at all in this case.

This need to be discussed and take a decision before creating a tissue.

The proposal will be to allow an empty or not defined ldInst in LNode when iedName is set, which indicates taht the LN is a pure client

A clarification in the standard is needed since it is not clear to use LD0 for pure clients where no logical devices are defined.
It will be clarified in Ed3.
