Description

We have encountered use cases between exchanges between vendors that must be addressed.

Example use cases for consideration:

- System A export (only supports AC side) --> imported into System B (which supports both AC & DC)

- For SSH Inputs: System B export (which supports both AC & DC) --> imported into System A (only supports AC side) (Here equivalence can be done on the DC side when imported into System A)

- The dependency between SSH attributes and controls and subsequently required SV output.

What solution is needed? May need a more immediate fix for.

What is the minimum requirement for the VsConverter to exist (and included in the export)?

Proposed Solution

Similar to issue https://redmine.ucaiug.org/issues/5098 and has important considerations for what we do in the near term for CIM17 (456/600).

10-May-2023 Meeting:
Kurt Hunter: Suggested to specify which use cases the solution can cover.
Chuck: We need to be careful how this is approached.

Action Item assigned for the next UTF13 meeting (refer to 10-May-2023 meeting minutes on UCAIug IEC SharePoint)

Decision

19-Sep-2024 Joint TF Hybrid Meetings:
Reviewed and agreed that this should be addressed in the 450.
