Description

To better demarcate IP and ownership of the CIM all references to IEC and/or IEC61970 should be updated. This scope of these changes for this issue should be constrained to the existing IEC61970 package and to any packages and sub-packages or classes within it.

Proposed Solution

The existing IEC61970 package should be renamed to 'Grid'
The IEC61970CIMVersion class must be renamed to 'GridCIMVersion'
Any references to WG13 should either be removed or changed to UTF13 (i.e. the acronym for UCAIug Task Force 13)

Moving forward, the assignment of a value for the GidCIMVersion.version attribute should be simplified to just 18v03 for example. The description of the attribute should be changed to reflect this.

Decision

This was discussed within both the weekly UTF13 modeling call as well as within the CIM Model Managers monthly call and the OK was given to proceed.

Release Notes

The existing IEC61970 package has been renamed to 'Grid'
The IEC61970CIMVersion class was renamed to 'GridCIMVersion'
References to WG13 were either removed or changed to UTF13 (i.e. the acronym for UCAIug Task Force 13) where/when relevant. There were other references within various descriptions of classes/attributes/packages to remove references to IEC where relevant.
