Description

During the discussion in TC95 WG2 meeting, it is raised as a question the following:
Does IEC 61850 specify that the buffer of BRCB should or should not be located in non-volatile memory? Is this up to the vendors/implementers to decide on this feature?
What is happening with reports that are in the buffer at the moment when server is deenergized (and rebooted)? Will they be available in the buffer upon reboot for resync?
In part 7-1 it is only mentioned - communication loss. Does this also take into account - reboot of the server?

IEC 61850 is not requesting non-volatile memory for Entries associated to Buffered reporting.
When BRCB is not resynced before being enabled it will send all the Entries available from the buffer.
Entries associated to Log/COMFEDE (Common Format for Event Data Exchange) are stored in non-volatile memory.
