Improvement #5335
Updated by Vladan Cvejic over 2 years ago
Problem is presented during WG10 plenary meeting (link on IEC Collaboration tool: https://collaborate.iec.ch/#/pages/workspaces/137211/documents/174744/details/686077?onlyWithPreview=false&fileId=686077) There is a need to improve IEDs ability to *detect, alarm, and recover/ride-through* from layer 2 broadcast storms, which is a standing risk for any redundant networks using GOOSE/SV and PRP/HSR/RSTP. Following needs clarification: 1. How do GOOSE/SV subscribers detect, alarm, and recover from faults related to normal conditions: 1a. 60% Loading of IEDs port capacity 1b. 80% Loading of IEDs port capacity 2. How do GOOSE/SV subscribers detect, alarm, and recover from faults related to abnormal conditions: 2a. 100% Loading of IEDs port capacity (e.g. edge port related faults) 2b. 200% Loading of IEDs port capacity (e.g. trunk port related faults) 3. How do MMS servers detect, alarm, and recover from faults related to abnormal conditions: 3a. 100% Loading of IEDs port capacity (e.g. edge port related faults) 3b. 200% Loading of IEDs port capacity (e.g. trunk port related faults) 4. How do MMS clients detect, alarm, and recover from faults related to abnormal conditions: 4a. 100% Loading of IEDs port capacity (e.g. edge port related faults) 4b. 200% Loading of IEDs port capacity (e.g. trunk port related faults)
