Description

Is it allowed to reduce an Enum type in ICD/SSD file?
Some values of normalized Enum type are sometimes not used. In order to simplify the specification stage, should it be possible to reduce the values of the Enum type ?
Argument: Simplification of the engineering phase

  • Status changed from New to Resolved
  • Short Proposal set to RTE to request specific restriction of EnumType to the supplier
  • Discuss in Upcoming Meeting changed from No to Yes

During meeting 2020-12-17:
The requirement is to be able to create a restricted EnumType to be handled by the IED. Role Based Access can restrict enum values to be allowed to each client.
RTE to review if this capability is valid. Would it be possible for the RTE to use its own custom namespace to define this enum types? In the end you will need an IED supporting these capabilities. It is like flexible product naming but in enum types.
Decision: RTE to request specific restriction to the supplier
