Description
HSR and PRP are redundancy protocols.
In order to prevent a single point of failure, many people are considering 2 red boxes to connect from HSR/PRP to RSTP.
Results in RSTP and HSR/PRP network instability. In the case of HSR, network saturation occurred almost immediately.
11 MB/s = 88 Megabits/sec of a 100 Mb network. The bandwidth restriction of HSR actually saved the RSTP network.
