Description

What is the purpose of class Unit, now when we have UnitSymbol? Unit class has associations (is used by) Measurement and Control from Meas, and with ProtectionEquipment from Protection.

Proposed Solution

Provide explanation of the purpose and usage of Unit.
If it is still to be kept, consider moving it into Meas package.
If you decide to remove Unit class:
1) provide a 'unit' attribute of 'UnitSymbol' type instead of 'Unit' association in 3 classes that use Unit class now,
2) provide docs for each new attribute, and,
3) remove Unit class from the model.

It is suggested that the Unit Class is replaced by an new Attibute unit of type UnitSymbol in classes that needs it.
Update CIM13.
2009/10/22 - WG 13 agreed to remove class Unit and add attributes to the three classes associated with Unit.
