Description

Multiplicities (cardinalities) of single associations are not consistently specified. Some use "1..1" and some use "1".

Proposed Solution

Use 1 for specifying a mandatory, single association. The UML reference manual explicitly shows a single 1 as an example, and it specifies that intervals should monotonically increase, e.g. 0..1.
