Description

Relax multilplicity of TopologicalNode-TopologicalIsland association
The present model requires one entry on each side of this. Use cases such as when island has state or history and all its topological nodes go away or are assigned to another island could leave islands with no topological nodes. Similarly, some profiles are desiring to make exchange of island information "optional" so from the TopologicalNode side the island assignment is optional. This also supports the use case where isolated and deenergized buses are not considered to belong to any island.

Proposed Solution

Change the multiplicity of TopologicalNode[1..*]-TopologicalIsland1 to be TopologicalIsland.TopologicalNodes[0..*] and TopologicalNode.TopologicalIsland to be [0..1].

Decision

2012-11-07 WG 13 - Agreed to change the cardinality between TopologicalNode and TopologicalIsland to be 0..1 at the TopologicalIsland (a TopologicalNode doesn't have to be associated with a TopologicalIsland). The cardinality at the TopologicalNode end will remain unchanged. Issue will be closed.
